(Defenselink -- July 31, 2002) Raytheon Company, Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $117,697,022, firm-fixed-price contract for production of the fiscal year 2002 Standard Missile-2 Block III and IIIA All-Up-Rounds (AUR), Block IIIB (AUR), Block IIIB ORDALT kits, AN and DKT-71A Telemetric Data Transmitting Sets (TDTS), and section-level spares. The contract will provide for the procurement of 96 (ea) SM-2 Block IIIB AUR, 58 (ea) SM-2 Block IIIB ORDALT kits to upgrade SM-2 II and III missiles to SM-2 Block IIIB, and 80 (ea) AN and DKT-71A TDTS. The contract also includes Foreign Military Sale (FMS) procurement of 64 (ea) SM-2 Block IIIA AUR, 4 (ea) SM-2 Block IIIA Missile Round Assembly kits, and 86 (ea) SM-2 Block IIIA/IIIB spare sections. The contract combines purchase for the U.S. Navy (70 percent) and the countries of Korea (28 percent); Spain (one percent); Canada (62 percent) and Germany (1 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., (73 percent); Andover, Mass., (23 percent); Camden, Ark., (three percent) and Farmington, N.M., (one percent), and is to be completed by December 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $32,800,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for the initiatation of foreign military sale of 12 F-16 C/D Block 50 aircraft and associated alternate mission equipment and integrated logistics support for the government of Oman. At this time $7,200,000 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be completed by November 2008. The Boeing Co., Information Space and Defense Systems, Seattle is being awarded an $17,323,490 indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract to increase the ceiling of the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Modernization and Sustainment Support (AMASS) contract to include Foreign Military Sales requirements. The purpose of the AMASS contract is to acquire supplies and services to lengthen the useful life of the E-3 AWACS weapon system and to sustain and improve its operational capabilities and effectiveness. This effort supports foreign military to Australia, French Republic, and the United Kingdom. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than the amount above. The locations of performance are: The Boeing Co., Seattle (50 percent); Northrop Grumman Corp., Baltimore (25 percent); Lockheed Martin, Owego, N.Y. (25 percent). At this time, no funds have been obligated. This work will be completed in September 2019. Negotiations were completed in July 2002. S. Air Force, U. S. Army and foreign military sales countries on July 30, 2002. Work will be performed in West Hartford, Conn., and is to be completed by Sep. 30, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on June 6, 2002.
