(Defenselink -- August 09, 2002) Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, was awarded a $10,800,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for incorporation of Advanced Integrated Defensive Electronic Warfare System for the Oman and Chile F-16 Aircraft Programs under the Falcon 2020 Delivery order contract F42620-01-D-0058, SC08. This effort supports foreign military sales to Oman and Chile. At this time, $4,382,500 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be completed by July 2006. Solicitation began May 2002 and negotiations were completed July 2002. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
