(Defenselink -- September 03, 2002) Raytheon Co., El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $12,443,000 delivery order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00383-01-G-100A) for seven phase l retrofit kits for the AN and APG-73 radar for the F/A-18 aircraft for the U.S. Marine Corps (six) and the government of Australia (one) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. This delivery order also covers the non-recurring redesign of two obsolete gate arrays. In addition, a roll-up engineering change proposal for retrofit change proposals for the APG-65 radar is required. Work will be performed in El Segundo (57 percent); Forest, Miss. (24 percent); Andover, Mass. (13 percent); and Dallas (six percent), and is to be completed by January 2005. Contract funds in the amount of $121,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.
