(Defenselink -- October 02, 2002) ST Production Systems Inc.* (a division of SensyTech Inc.), Farmingdale, N.J., was awarded on Sept. 30, 2002, a $7,987,834 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-98-C-6111) for the production, test and delivery of an additional quantity of 14 AN/SLQ-25A torpedo countermeasure transmitting sets and associated Foreign Military Sales (FMS) spares. The AN/SLQ-25A is designed to provide ships with a countermeasure capability against torpedoes. Variants of the AN/LQ-25A have been offered to select foreign nations as authorized by the Technology Transfer Security Assistance Review Board. Work will be performed in Farmingdale, N.J. (30%), and Uniontown, Pa. (70%), and is to be completed by May 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
