(Defenselink -- October 15, 2002) Lockheed Martin, Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems, Moorestown, N.J., is being awarded a $6,541,774 cost-reimbursable modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-97-C-5177) for long-lead material in support of the development and integration effort for the DDG-2317 Aegis weapons system baseline J5 computer program. This contract involves foreign military sales to Japan (100%). Work will be performed in Moorestown, N.J., and is expected to be completed by May 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
