(Defenselink -- November 18, 2002) Veridian Engineering, Inc., Buffalo, N.Y., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $16,727,126 modification to a previously awarded time-and-materials indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract (N00421-00-D-0126) to exercise an option to provide engineering, technical, management, and financial support services for the U.S. Navy and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) F/A-18 Aircraft Programs. The FMS involves the government of Australia. The estimated level of effort for this option is 336,150 man-hours. Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Md., and is to be completed in November 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River is the contracting activity.
(Defenselink -- November 18, 2002) Rolls Royce Corp., Indianapolis is being awarded a $44,000,000
cost-plus fixed-fee contract to provide for Component Improvement Program for T56 engines and components. The workload includes the effort and material to accomplish the engineering and test program for the Air Force, Foreign Military Sales, and Navy T56 engines. All engineering and testing will be accomplished at the contractor's facility utilizing contractor furnished equipment. At this time, no funds have been obligated. Solicitation began in August 2002 and negotiations were completed October 2002.
