NAVY

(Defenselink -- December 20, 2002) Lockheed Martin, Naval Electronics & Surveillance Systems Surface Systems, Moorestown, N.J., is being awarded a $391,481,934 fixed-price-incentive modification under previously awarded contract (N00024-01-C-5168) to exercise options for two U.S. Navy fiscal year 2003 Aegis Weapon Systems (AWS), one AWS for the Japanese Kongo Class Destroyer DDG 2317 and three AWS for the Republic of Korea KDX Class Destroyer Program. Work will be performed in Moorestown, N.J., and is to be completed in February 2009. This contract combines support of the U.S. Navy (36%) with the governments of the Republic of Korea (47%) and Japan (17%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Contract  funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

(Defenselink -- December 20, 2002) Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Rolling Meadows, Ill., is being awarded a $18,696,374 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for LITENING II Precision Attack Targeting Pods for use by the U.S. Marine Corps. This effort support foreign military sales to Rafael Missile Division, Haifa, Israel. Total funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by December 2003. Solicitation began June 2002. Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-00-C-2114, P00014).
