NAVY
(Defenselink -- January 08, 2003) Northrop Grumman Corp., Air Combat Systems, El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $17,542,865 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-02-C-3043) for 34 center barrels and spare parts for the Canadian F/A-18 aircraft program under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in El Segundo (87 percent); Amityville, N.Y. (6.9 percent); and Bohemia, N.Y. (6.1 percent) and is to be completed in April 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
AIR FORCE
(Defenselink -- January 08, 2003) Lockheed Martin Corp., Egan, Minn., is being awarded a
$7,250,000 firm-fixed-price, cost reimbursement, labor hour contract to provide support to the Air Sovereignty Operations Center (ASOC) international modernization and sustainment support program; provides hardware and software logistics support for the 11 existing ASOC systems. This effort includes technical support in the form of systems engineering, software engineering, site visits, and telephone hotline service. In addition, capability enhancements will be added to existing software functionality and technology refreshment will be accomplished on system hardware. This effort also supports unclassified Foreign Military Sales to Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. At this time, $2,386,453 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be complete by March 2006. Solicitation began in August 2002 and negotiations were completed in December 2002.
