(Defenselink -- March 13, 2003) Cubic Defense Systems Corp., San Diego is being awarded a $5,084,633 contract modification to provide for the Saudi Arabian Kadena interim training system contract to purchase additional quantities of items to satisfy a foreign military sales agreement with Saudi Arabia. Specific equipment to be purchased includes 10 rangeless air combat maneuvering instrumentation pods, two remote display and debriefing subsystems, two live monitor display and debriefing stations, two communication instrumentation subsystems, associated spares and support equipment and 23 months of contractor logistics support. At this time $4,368,005 of the funds have been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. Negotiations were completed March 2003. This work will be complete by June 2005. The Air Armament Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08635-01-C-0058/P00004).
