(Defenselink -- April 11, 2003) General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, Burlington, Vt., is being awarded a $9,529,535 firm-fixed-price modification (N00024-01-C-5158) to exercise an option for AEGIS MK 82 Mod 0 Guided Missile Directors with MK 200 Mod 0 Director Controllers in support of Japanese (50%) and Korean (50%) Foreign Military Sales (FMS). This AEGIS equipment will be installed aboard Japanese Kongo Class Destroyer 2317 and Korean Class Destroyer KDX. Work will be performed in Burlington, Vt., and is expected to be completed in April 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
