(Defenselink -- May 8, 2003) Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) Inc., McLean, Va., is being awarded a $7,934,270 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for technical advisory and assistance support services for the Royal Saudi Naval Forces Command, Control and Communication Upgrade Program. This contract supports the government of Saudi Arabia under the Foreign Military Sales Program. This contract includes nine one-year options which, if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $95,343,023. Work will be performed in McLean/Crystal City, Va., (43%); Patuxent River, Md., (35%); Charleston, S. C. (14%); San Diego, Calif., (4%); and Pensacola, Fla., (4%), and is expected to be completed May 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was directed source by the Saudi government, i.e. Saudi Arabia specified sole source to BAH. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N00039-03-C-0013). 

 

(Defenselink -- May 8, 2003) Kollmorgen Corp., Northampton, Mass., is being awarded a $6,900,000 firm-fixed-price modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-02-C-4032) to procure five MK 46 optical sight systems (OSS). The OSS is an integral component of the MK 34 gun weapon system, which includes the 5" MK 45 gun mount and MK 160 gun computer system. The primary function is to provide a safety check-sight for the determination of safe firing zones during gun operation. This modification combines support of the U.S. Navy (80%) and the government of Japan (20%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in Northampton, Mass., and is expected to be completed by February 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
