(Defenselink -- August 1, 2003)  Raytheon Systems Co., Integrated Defense Systems, Sudbury, Mass., is being awarded a $105,068,356 firm-fixed-price modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-02-C-5100) to definitize fiscal year 2003 requirements for two U.S. Navy shipsets, three Republic of Korea shipsets, one Japanese shipset of the Aegis Weapon System (AWS) OT-188/SPY-1D (V) and MK99 MOD 8 Transmitter Groups, a fire control system, ancillary equipment, data, spares, provisioned item order, provisioning technical documentation and technical manuals. This modification contains options which, if exercised, would bring the total contract value to $251,002,653. Work will be performed in Andover, Mass. (80%), and Sudbury, Mass. (20%), and is expected to be completed by December 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract contains purchases for the U.S. Navy (30%) and the governments of the Republic of Korea (50%) and Japan (20%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-02-C-5100).
