(Defenselink -- September 15, 2003) Lockheed Martin Tactical Systems, Eagan, Minn., is being awarded a $27,574,754 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for system design, development, hardware procurement, test and evaluation, installation and life cycle support to integrate data link functionality and C4ISR capability onto various Taiwan military platforms and sites. This contract contains options, which if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract $2,151,104,675. This contract involves Foreign Military Sales to Taiwan (100%). Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif. (72.8%); Taiwan (14.6%); Eagan, Minn. (3.3%); various other U.S. locations (9.3%) and is expected to be completed by June 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with unlimited proposals solicited and two offers received via the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command E-commerce web site. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N00039-03-D-0085).
