(Defenselink -- October 01, 2003) MITRE Corp., Bedford, Mass., is being awarded a $303,428,469 cost-plus fixed-fee contract to provide for systems engineering and integration support for Air Force and Foreign Military Program
(FMP) for FY 2004 with priced options for FY 2005 through FY 2008. Support level is estimated at 1,002 direct staff years for the Air Force and 100 staff years for FMP. MITRE is a federally funded research and development center. This effort supports
foreign military sales with Saudi Arabia, France, United Kingdom, and Japan. At this time, $6,282,162 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. Solicitation began August 2003 and negotiations were completed September 2003.
