(Defenselink -- November 24, 2003) Raytheon Systems, d/b/a Raytheon Systems Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $54,709,224 ceiling amount modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed price contract (N00019-03-C-0003) to exercise an option for the procurement of approximately 596 AIM-9M-2 missiles for the Governments of Taiwan (182) and Egypt (414). Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz. (84%), Rocket Center, W.Va. (13%), and Andover, Mass. (3%), and is expected to be completed in June 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This modification combines purchases for Egypt ($38,002,716; 69.5%) and Taiwan ($16,706,508; 30.5%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
