(Defenselink -- December 1, 2003) McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded an estimated $40,000,000 indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract for the procurement and delivery of Advanced HARPOON Weapon Control System (AHWCS) to various Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers, and a software license for AHWCS software to be used by the United States Government to upgrade the Encapsulated HARPOON Command and Launch System (EHCLS) for various FMS customers. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo. (50%); Lititz, Pa. (25%); Denmark (15%); Grand Rapids, Mich. (7%); and Los Angeles, Calif. (3%), and is expected to be completed in November 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity (N00019-03-D-0001).
