(Defenselink -- 1 July 2004) Digital System Resources Inc., Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $21,556,587 cost-plus incentive/award-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-04-C-6205) for FY04 level-of-effort engineering/technical services in support of the Multi-Purpose Processor (MPP) program. The MPP is a major subsystem under the Acoustic Rapid Commercial Off-The-Shelf Insertion (A-RCI) system. It is a combination of hardware and software that enables submarines to process data collected by towed and hull arrays. It is installed on SSN 688, SSN 688I, SSN 774, SSN 21, SSGN and SSBN 726 Class submarines. Work will be performed in Fairfax, Va. (70 percent) and Anaheim Hills, Calif. (30 percent), and is expected to be completed by December 2004. Contract funds in the amount of $1,033,737, will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This modification combines support of the U.S. Government and the Government of Japan (5 percent), under the Foreign Military Sales Program. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
