(Defenselink -- 19 July 2004) Titan Corp., Marlton, N.J., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $9,027,728 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00421-02-C-3206) to exercise an option for systems engineering services in support of the Maritime Surveillance Aircraft Team for the Navy and the government of the Netherlands. Under this modification, the contractor will plan, coordinate, define, develop, and test fixed-wing patrol aircraft systems in focusing new tactical and sensor station technologies into advanced submarine platform applications. Work will be performed in Lexington Park, Md. (95 percent); and Warminster, Pa. (5 percent), and is expected to be completed in September 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This modification combines purchases for the U.S. Navy ($8,847,173; 98 percent) and the Government of the Netherlands ($180,555; 2 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. The Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.
