U.S. NAVY

(Defenselink -- 24 September 2004) Swiftships Shipbuilders, LLC, Morgan City La., is being awarded a $31,844,437 firm-fixed-price for the construction of six 25m fast patrol craft (FPC), with technical data and training, for the Arab Republic of Egypt under the Foreign Military Sales Program. The FPC will be constructed of aluminum and conform to American Bureau of Shipping High Speed Naval Craft requirements. The primary mission of the FPC is to perform Egyptian border guard operations within Egyptian territorial waters and includes search and rescue, law enforcement, and local patrol operations. Work will be performed in Morgan City, La., and is expected to be completed by April 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity. (N00024-04-C-2263)

 

U.S. AIR FORCE

(Defenselink -- 24 September 2004) Boeing Aerospace Operations, Oklahoma City, Okla., is being awarded a $23,973,156 time and material and firm fixed price contract modification to provide for contractor logistics support umbrella engineering support services; sustains and non-recur services to support research and development, aircraft modifications, aircraft maintenance and technical services for Boeing commercial derivative military use aircraft. This effort supports foreign military sales to the Royal Netherlands Air Force. The locations of performances are the Boeing Aerospace Operations, Midwest City, Okla., and The Boeing Co., Wichita, Kan. No funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by September 2004. The Headquarters Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-02-C-0003, P00092).

(Defenselink -- 24 September 2004) Raytheon Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $9,958,168 firm fixed price contract modification. This action will exercise an option of 11 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM) Air Intercept Missile (AIM)-120 5 (FMS) missiles, 6 AMRAAM Air Vehicles Instrumented (AAVIs), 10 non- development item-airborne instrumentation unit field kits, 6 non-developmental item airborne instrumentation unit original equipment manufacture kits, and 1 lot software configuration management. This effort supports foreign military sales to Australia. Total funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by August 2005. Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08635-03-C-0031, P00023).
