(Defenselink -- 4 October 2004) BAE Systems, Nashua, N.H., was awarded on Oct. 1, 2004, a $16,042,000 not-to-exceed contract for procurement of the Cooperative Outboard Logistics Update (COBLU) Subsystem, which is to be integrated as part of the Integrated Electronics Suite (IES) for the Italian Navy’s Multi-Purpose Vessel. The IES is currently composed of communications and intelligence systems, including Ship Wide Area Network (SWAN), Communication Intelligence (COMINT), Data Display and Decision Intelligence (D3I), Communications Systems (COMMS Subsystems), Small Ship Electronic Warfare Support Measures System (SSES), Electronics Intelligence System (ELINT) and related technical support, training and documentation. The COBLU subsystem will be procured, installed, tested and integrated within the IES. Work will be performed in Hudson, N.H., and is expected to be completed in April 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was not competitively procured. This contract supports the Government of Italy under the Foreign Military Sales program. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity. (N00024-04-C-4210)
(Defenselink -- 4 October 2004) CUBIC Defense Applications Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a
$7,765,298 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of one Combined Hungarian Range Instrumentation and Simulation Training Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (CHRISTMS) for the Government of Hungary under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed in October 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Training Systems Division, Orlando, Fla., is the contracting activity (N61339-04-C-0104).
