(Defenselink -- 14 March 2005) Alliant Integrated Defense Co., LLC, Clearwater, Fla., is being awarded a $12,298,627 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-priced contract (N00019-98-C-0006) for the procurement of AAR-47(V)2 Sensor Upgrade hardware weapons replacement assemblies. This modification consists of 964 Optical Sensor Converters (OSC) with laser warning capabilities for the U.S. Navy (856), the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves (40), and the Government of Turkey (68); 109 Computer Processors (CPs) for the U.S. Navy (82), the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves (10), and the Government of Turkey (17); 122 Control Indicators (CIs) for the U.S Navy (105) and the Government of Turkey (17); and 122 Computer Processor (CP) kits for the U.S. Navy. Work will be performed in Clearwater, Fla. (48 percent); Austin, Texas (38 percent); Hamamatsu, Japan (9 percent); and Natanya, Israel (6 percent), and is expected to be completed in March 2008. Contract funds in the amount of $20,401 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy ($11,262,653; 92 percent) and the Government of Turkey ($1,035,974; 8 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
