U.S. AIR FORCE

(Defenselink -- 28 September 2005) McDonnell Douglas, Long Beach Calif., is being awarded a $273,698,705 firm-fixed price contract modification to exercise the fiscal 2006 options for the continued performance of the Globemaster III Sustainment Partnership. These options will be funded by separate funding actions, as fiscal 2006 funds are received. The C-17 fleet sustainment, C-17 product support will be managed through a long term performance-based partnership between Boeing and the Air Force, which places all performance risk on the contractor to provide sustainment support at continuously raised benchmarked levels. This effort supports foreign military sales to the United Kingdom. The location of performance is McDonnell Douglas, Long Beach, Calif., and Pratt and Whitney, Cheshire, Conn. At this time, no funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by September 2006. Solicitations began in January 2003 and negotiations were complete November 2003. The Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is the contracting activity. (FA8614-04-C-2004/ P00078)

U.S. NAVY

(Defenselink -- 28 September 2005) Integrated Consulting Services Inc., Louisville, Ky., is being awarded a potential maximum $26,268,267 fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the procurement of MK 119 Mod 0 and Mod 2 Gun Computer System Cabinets, MK 119 Mod 0 and Mod 2 On-Board Repair Part Spare Kits, MK 119 Mod 0 and Mod 2 Installation and Check-Out Spare Part Kits and MK 119 Mod 0 COSMAL Spare Part Kits. This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy (82 percent), and the Governments of Korea (16 percent) and Japan (2 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in Louisville, Ky., and is expected to be completed by September 2010. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with seven proposals solicited and one offer received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, Louisville Detachment, Louisville, Ky., is the contracting activity (N63394-05-C-4005).

 

(Defenselink -- 28 September 2005) Communications and Power Industries, Palo, Alto Calif., is being awarded a maximum $13,120,510 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery contract to repair Traveling Wave Tubes (TWT's). TWT's are used in a variety of host aircraft in a stand-alone or electronic warfare suite mode. This contract combines purchases for the Government of Taiwan ($90,240) under the Foreign Military Sales program. Work is to be performed in Palo Alto, Calif. and is expected to be completed by September 2010. This contract was competitively procured with the solicitation being publicized on the World Wide Web with two proposals being received and two contracts that were awarded. Contract funds in the amount of $262,472 will expire at the current fiscal year. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity (N00164-05-D-8918).
