U.S. NAVY

(Defenselink -- 3 November 2005) McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $62,510,010 firm-fixed-price contract for 50 Harpoon All-Up-Round (AUR) Missiles which consist of 40 Tactical Block II Airlaunch AUR missiles and 10 Tactical Block II Grade B AUR missiles for the Government of Pakistan. The contract also includes 20 MK607 Airlaunch AUR containers, and 10 MK631 Canister AUR containers for the Government of Pakistan; 3 Exercise Sections for the Government of Australia (2) and the Government of Japan (1); and 3 MK592 Exercise Section Shipping Containers for the Government of Australia (2) and the Government of Japan (1). This contract combines purchases for the Governments of Pakistan ($61,713,860; 98.72 percent), Japan ($265,384; .43 percent), and Australia ($530,766; .85 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in St. Charles, Mo. (47.46 percent); McKinney, Texas (22.36 percent); Toledo, Ohio (7.11 percent); Clearwater, Fla. (3.26 percent); Huntsville, Ala. (2.85 percent); Middletown, Conn. (1.90 percent); Galena, Kan. (1.75 percent); United Kingdom (1.42 percent); and other various locations throughout the United States (11.89 percent), and is expected to be completed in June 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-06-C-0027).

U.S. AIR FORCE

(Defenselink -- 3 November 2005) MITRE Corp., Bedford, Mass., is being awarded a $355,177,261 cost plus fixed fee contract to provide for award of contract for systems engineering and integration support for Air Force ceiling programs and Air Force non-ceiling programs for fiscal 2006. Support level is estimated at 929 direct staff years for the Air Force ceiling programs and 131 direct staff years for the Air Force non-ceiling program. MITRE is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center. This effort supports foreign military sales with Saudi Arabia, France, United Kingdom and Japan. This work will be complete October 2006. At this time, $680,400 has been obligated.
