(Defenselink -- 11 May 2006) Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Rolling Meadows, Ill., is being awarded a $49,500,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract. The contract will require delivery of large aircraft infrared countermeasure (LAIRCM) system hardware, support equipment and services to include: systems engineering, program management, logistics, spares as well as installation, installation support, and field service support for C-17 and C-130 aircraft. The ID/IQ contract allows for the purchase of LAIRCM hardware for foreign military sales and other government agencies as may be identified during the contract performance period. The ID/IQ also allows for the addition of installation support for other platforms are required. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, although actual requirements may be less than the amount indicated above. At this time, $36,764,357 has been obligated. Solicitation began 2 November 2005 and negotiations were complete May 2006. This work will be complete December 2010.
