(Defenselink -- 18 October 2006) Argon ST., Inc., Newington, Va., is being awarded a $9,873,809 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide specialized engineering support services for the Ariel, Blackbeard, Badger, Wolverine, AN/URL-21(V)2, and integrated submarine communications receiving systems, providing on site support responses, hardware and software maintenance, and telephone/email technical assists.. This contract combines efforts for the Navy (97 percent) and the government of Norway (3 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in Newington, Va. (90 percent) and Fairfax, Va. (10 percent) and is expected to be completed by October 2011. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract is a sole source procurement. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Va., is the contracting activity (N00178-07-D-3017).
