Quashie, Ghanaian Navy, welcomes people to the ribbon-cutting ceremony on June
3, 2008, to celebrate the opening of a newly-built health clinic in Tema, Ghana.
Constructed by U.S. Navy Seabees with the Africa Partnership Station, in conjunction with the AFRICOM Humanitarian and Civic Assistance Program, the Tema Clinic contains two medical wards, two treatment rooms, five bathrooms, a laboratory, dispensary, office, and a large waiting area. Additionally, medical equipment was donated for the Ghanaian doctors to use in the facility. The clinic will treat the local civilian population as well as Ghanaian military personnel.
