Defense Security Cooperation Agency, Security Assistance Analyst

 

Highly-qualified candidates for this position must be able to:

  • Develop, promulgate, and monitor policies, procedures, and special projects required to insure that the Security Cooperation Programs for their assigned countries operate in an effective and responsive manner. 

  • Develop, coordinate, and establish Security Assistance Programs within established policies, procedures, country or regional ceilings, and legislation.

  • Develop and coordinate US Government positions and proposals relating to the provision of defense articles and services through Foreign Military Sales (FMS).

  • Develop and coordinate FMS forecasts for use in policy decisions and congressional budget presentations.

  • Provide programmatic and administrative support for the oversight of the US Government's Security Cooperation programs.

  • Prepare briefing materials and update action items in the DSCA Strategic Planning database or other similar management support systems.  

 

 

 

 

 


Defense Security Cooperation Agency, IT Specialist

 

Highly-qualified candidates for this position must be able to:

  • Develop and modify custom software using Visual Basic, NET, Transact SQL and other programs.
  • Plan, design, and develop access and permission controls, and auditing capabilities for applications.
  • Integrate Commercial off-the-Shelves (COTS) products, such as MS Office Components and Crystal Reports into systems.
  • Design and maintain databases in Microsoft SOL Server, Microsoft Access, and other database management systems.
  • Plan, analyze, forecast costs and schedules, and monitor progress in executing projects in support of the DSCA customer community.
  • Ensure that assigned applications adhere to Department of Defense security directives and regulations.
  • Work with telecommunications, VTC, Wireless devices and remote site support.  

 

 

 

 

 


Humanitarian Assistance, Disaster Relief and Mine Action Training Technician, Humanitarian Demining Training Center

Highly-qualified candidates for this position must be able to:

  • Plan, coordinate and carry out tasks required to obtain project, information technology and training support for the Director, Deputy Manager and five training instructors.
  • Consult with and assist instructional systems specialists, training instructors, subject matter experts and technical advisors in developing training material and products according to methodologies of instructional systems design, criterion referenced instruction, curriculum development and programmed instruction.
  • Establish and maintain files from programs of instruction (POI), training support packages (TSP), and other training materials. 
  • Maintain the Humanitarian Demining Training Center, especially its classrooms and training areas. 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Humanitarian Assistance, Disaster Relief and Mine Action Course Manager, Humanitarian Demining Training Center

Highly-qualified candidates for this position must be able to:

  • Manage courses at the Humanitarian De-mining Training Center (HDTC) and serve as a subject matter expert in humanitarian mine action.
  • Be familiar with the ‘Train-the-Trainer' format and methodology.
  • Be responsible for the design, development, management and quality control of training products. 
  • Conduct both resident and mobile training in all subject areas relating to mine action. 
  • Work well in an environment with special operation force soldiers, general-purpose force engineers, explosive ordinance disposal personnel, high-level program managers within the Department of Defense and Department of State as well as high-level military and civilian personnel from foreign governments.
