WEAPONS
(WPN) DIVISION is responsible for technology transfer policy, multi-service international defense system competitions, overseeing DOD participation in international trade shows, Yockey Waiver processing, Missile Technology Control Regime process and training, and weapons systems technical and doctrinal subject matter expertise for the Agency. Weapons also provides the OUSD(P) representative to the National Disclosure Policy Committee and the DSCA representative to the Defensive Systems Committee, as well as leads the Agency's effort for the annual Javits Report. The division supplies the DSCA positions on munitions licenses exceptions to national disclosure policy, and the DOD position to the Commerce Department on questions out of the Defense Advocacy Program. It serves as the Agency's Ombudsman to the US defense industry. Weapons Division also acts as DSCA's inter-agency synchronizer and facilitator for preparing large, emerging, joint or complex weapons systems for foreign sales.
